When you visit a Naturopath what do you expect? If you expect to go once, and achieve a long-term cure for a condition that you may have had for some time, then a Naturopath is probably not the best person to see.
In fact, I recently had a client who has finally achieved a good result to her condition, a rather serious health issue that was having a major impact in her lifestyle, after 5 years of treatments! In that 5 years, we had tried many, many different approaches towards her condition, and because I always had more options available despite exhausting many avenues, she stuck with me and now we have finally achieved the goal that she was seeking.
5 years is, of course, a long time to wait for a cure, but had she given up at an earlier stage it is very unlikely indeed that her condition would have resolved itself. So after 5 years, she has finally got her life back. Of course, had she quit the treatment at an earlier stage, she would still have had the adverse health condition and been severely restricted in her lifestyle as a result of the said condition.
Can you imagine what would have happened if this person had quit her natural therapy treatment after 1 year, thinking that if I hadn't been able to help in 12 months, then maybe there was going to be no relief at all for her symptoms? Or even worse, had tried these many natural and alternative treatments for 3 or 4 years, and then given up on herself. Or, had given up on the treatments just ONE SESSION short of the treatment that actually worked! Put yourself in this picture, and you will get a bit of an idea of the importance of committing to your path to wellness, and being open to trying many different treatment options if necessary. Very importantly, NEVER give up on yourself!!!
